Generic VDSL Router Setup

1. Connect Your Router

• Plug one end of a phone cable (RJ11) into the DSL port on your router.

• Plug the other end into your phone wall socket.

  📌 Make sure a VDSL filter/splitter is used if required by your setup.

2. Reset Your Router (Recommended)

• Press and hold the Reset button on the back of the router for 10 seconds, then release.

3. Connect to the Router

• Use a device (laptop, tablet, phone) to connect to the router:

  • Wi-Fi: Use the SSID and password printed on the sticker (usually on the base or back).

  • Ethernet: Alternatively, plug your device into one of the router's LAN ports using an Ethernet cable.

4. Access the Router Management Page

• Open a web browser and enter the default access address in the address bar.
  Common addresses include:

  • 192.168.1.1

  • 192.168.0.1

  • 192.168.1.254

5. Log In to the Router

• Enter the admin username and password, typically found on the router label.

6. Configure Internet (WAN/DSL) Settings

• Go to the Internet, WAN, or DSL settings section.

• Set the following:

  • Connection Type: PPPoE

  • Username: Your Pineapple Net username

  • Password: Your Pineapple Net password

  • VLAN ID: 100

    • If prompted, enable VLAN tagging or select “Use VLAN” and set the VLAN ID to 100.

7. Configure Your Wi-Fi (Optional)

• Navigate to the Wi-Fi or Wireless Settings section.

• Set your:

  • SSID (Wi-Fi Network Name) – what your devices will see.

  • Wi-Fi Password – use a secure password to protect your network.

8. Save and Reboot

• Save your settings and reboot the router if prompted.

• The router should connect to the internet within 2–4 minutes.

✅ Test the Connection

• Open a web page or perform a speed test to confirm your connection is live.
