TP-Link VDSL Router Configuration Guide

This guide will assist you in connecting your TP-Link VDSL modem to the Pineapple Net network.

Please note: VDSL Routers are not recommended for use on the Pineapple Net network.

 

  1. If there is no DGtek Fibre Connection Box installed, Connect the WAN port on the back of your router to your DGtek wall socket with an Ethernet Cable.

  2. If there is a DGtek Fibre Connection Box installed, Connect the WAN port on the back of your router to your DGtek Fibre Connection Box with an Ethernet Cable.

  3. Connect the Power port on the back of your router to your power socket

  4. Open your browser and in the address bar type tplinkwifi.net and press Enter

  5. Enter admin for both the username and password and click Login. If you have changed the login credentials, please enter the current username and password for your modem interface. If you are unsure of these credentials, please press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds to reset the router back to default settings

  6. You will see the home screen shown on the right. Click the Advanced tab
  7. On the menu on the left side of the page, click Network to expand the menu and then click EWAN
    1. For PPPoE Connections:
      1. Uncheck VLAN ID then enter your Pineapple Net Username and Password. Click Save
    2. For DHCP Connections, Uncheck VLAN ID then set the Internet Connection Type to DHCP/Automatic IP. Click Save
  8. Click the Basic tab
  9. On the menu on the left side of the page, click Wireless.
  10. You can change your Wi-Fi details or keep the default settings. The default Wi-Fi SSID (network name) is printed on a sticker underneath your modem (Wireless Password/Key). Click Save.
  11. Click the Advanced tab
  12. On the menu on the left side of the page, click Network to expand the menu and then click DSL.
  13. If there are any Internet Connections configured in this section, please delete them by clicking the Delete button
